I recently shared a live coaching call on this podcast episode. Katie had been working with me for several months to focus on healing after a miscarriage. As a mother already, she had a very busy lifestyle and had to make some intentional changes to take care of her body in healing. While I am incredibly proud of her for slowing down and nourishing herself more intentionally, one of my favorite moments of working with her was addressing her spiritual walk.
On this call, as she wrestled with the desire to get pregnant again, but the struggle of trusting God with the many different facets of her life, I sensed the Lord giving me a vision for her.
It was a picture of Jesus standing next to her, shoulder to shoulder, as she clutched a vase filled with unbloomed rose buds. Katie was crying… nearly weeping, watching over these rosebuds, just wanting them to bloom. But nothing she could do, despite her very responsible and intentional efforts, would make them bloom…
Jesus gently leaned down and whispered to her, “Can I hold those for you?”
I shared this picture with her, and both of us were tearing up, because we knew this was from God. A direct message from Him to her, asking if she would let Him hold this vase.
Little did we know on that call….
That she was pregnant!
It was in a time in her cycle where no one could have known about this precious life except for God Himself. She shared this with me in this next group coaching call, and we both were in awe at the goodness of the Lord.
One of the most comforting truths we reflected on is this:
Each child God creates comes from one specific egg and one specific sperm, and at one specific moment He has ordained. That means waiting is not random, and it is not proof your body is broken.
It may simply mean: This wasn’t the moment yet.
When the moment comes, it is intentional. God knew the child’s genetic code, the personality, the soul. Only God knew the child before the foundation of the earth. This isn’t “just” a pregnancy. It’s an eternal soul.
And that truth changes how we wait.
When God has given you this seed of life in your garden, you’re still responsible for tending to that garden. There’s some things you cannot control, and there’s things you can.
When you have done everything that you can control, it’s then ultimately up to the Lord to sustain and grow that life.

I’d love to chat with you! I offer a free 10-minute consult where I can provide personalized guidance and prayer.
And when you’re ready, I’d love to walk alongside you inside Fertility Framework, where we focus on healing, hormone support, and faith-centered care after loss. You don’t have to walk this road alone.
