If you’re in a season of wanting to get pregnant or healing after a loss, you are holding two things at once: deep longing and deep sorrow. And you are not alone in that.
Before we talk about your body, I want to talk about your heart.

Jesus spoke these words to his disciples on the eve of the greatest sorrow they had ever known. He wasn’t minimizing their grief, he was promising them that joy was coming. That same promise belongs to you in this season.
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus modeled exactly how to hold sorrow: “Father, take this cup from me — yet not my will, but yours.” That is our prayer too. Lord, take away this grief, this waiting, this longing. But let your will be done. It’s hard. And it’s holy. And it’s exactly where he meets us.
Your body is telling a story right now. Your cycle, your symptoms, your energy, your hormones… they are all talking. The question is whether we’re listening.
Charting your full cycle, not just tracking your period but understanding every day from day one through the last day before your next period, gives you a complete picture of what’s going on inside. Symptoms like headaches, spotting, heavy bleeding, fatigue, bloating, mood swings. These aren’t just inconveniences. They are clues. And when you collect enough of those clues together, patterns emerge that point us toward root issues to address.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made. And God is inviting you to understand how.
Knowing what your body is saying is only the first part. The next step is actually helping it and that looks different for every woman, because every body, cycle, and story is unique.
Picture this:
Imagine a garden bed. Right now it’s dried out, weedy, low on nutrients. The soil needs work before anything can grow. That’s your job! Tending the soil, pulling the deep-rooted weeds, adding richness and moisture. You prepare the ground. And then you trust God to give the seed life. That’s His job. That’s always been His job.
There are no guarantees and anyone who has walked a hard fertility journey knows that deeply. But why would we neglect learning what our body needs? Why would we leave soil untended when we’ve been given the tools to tend it?
Supporting your cycle naturally, learning what your specific body needs, and walking in partnership with the Lord is the invitation in this season.
